I just bought a laptop that has a dual boot ubuntu situation, and well..... problems

So I bought a Toshiba satellite E105-etc. laptop from a guy on craigslist. I wanted to free up some space for media files so I deleted two partitions on the drive and turned them into a media hard drive, thinking that this would merely render the Linux versions he had unusable, but would still let me access Windows 7.

Anyway, the next time I booted up I got this message:

error: unknown filesystem
grub rescue>

I searched google for this already which is what brought me here. I already tried the following commands but all resulted in 'invalid command':

/boot/grub
dump
exit
normal
boot
multiboot

I just want Windows 7 to boot. I don't care about Linux (sorry) lol. I guess I've never seen the advantage to using Linux.

Please help! I can't get on my sites.

You have to restore the master boot record. You need a W7 CD/DVD that you can boot in rescue mode. Then you can restore the MBR.

Grub has replaced it. Since you have blown away linux, you can no longer use it, to fix grub.

If you can't get a Windows disk, you could download a version of Linux and install it. It would then replace grub and allow the windows boot.

Boot...

If you don't have a Windows 7 DVD you can use this to repair your Windows 7 boot loader.
