How do you connect? (modem, router....)
What are the errors in the logs, when the system disconnects?

there has got to be a timout variable somewhere, it may not have anything to do with ubuntu...it may be on your router

the connection says active I have to click on the connection icon and it disconnects and reconnects and the I'm able to use it.
If I keep the connection going theres no problem but as soon as I let it idle it won't work any Moore.

What are you using to connect?
Look in the preferences for any pointers (idle time)
Can you ping when the connection drops?
