I installed OOo but I can't find it in the apps list.
 
I made sure I selected OOo from the packages list when I installed linux but I can't find it in the main menus in Mandriva 10.1 Official.

Can someone else tell me where to locate it?

if openoffice binary is in ur path u can try

whereis opneoffice

also try

locate openoffice

after runnning
updatedb

so that u can locate the files for openoffice

I think there is a perl script in /usr/bin called ooffice.
Or you can run oowriter for wordprocessing, oocalc for spreadsheet, etc.
Edit your menu and add them.
