I have problem to run a shell when I login in remotely by WinSCP

It reports:

bash: no job control in this shell

It only happens when I am using Linux remotely. How should I deal with it?

winscp doesn't give a console does it? I thought it was just for file transfer, hence the name, winSCP.

What if you use putty or cygwin or some other Windows ssh client/terminal?

WinSCP does have a console. I can compile codes with it fine.

Not sure exactly what you are trying to accomplish but I would assume it falls under the limitation that it requires terminal emulation or user input which is not possible. As suggested use putty.

it works, but....

WinSCP can call putty and start a console session with it. You have to configure it, but it is easy.

NAtch, you also have to have putty.

See the WinSCP help pages.
