I have no sound when playing Macromedia files

I have my sound card configured and it will play CDs, but if I go to a site that uses Macromedia like wimp.com I can't hear any sound. If I replay the animation in windows it does have sound. Is there something I need to configure in FireFox or some where in Core3 that I might of missed?
Thanks in advance
Tim

I don't have the Flash plugin installed myself but from what I've read about the place, I'm guessing that the Flash player tries to use OSS to play the sound but the device files don't necessarily exist if you use ALSA for sound (which most modern distrobutions do). Try running Firefox like this and see if you have any luck
Code:
aoss firefox

Thanks for the answer. Although I do have a question about it, you're telling me to run the code "aoss firefox" I'm going to assume this is from a command prompt (terminal), do I need to "cd" to the firefox directory for this or can I do this from what ever directory I am in at the time?
Thanks

Yup it's to be run from the erminal, you shouldn't need to cd to the firsfox directory. The command basically captures any OSS output and directs it to ALSA in realtime so Flash should work

I tried it and it returned "bad command" I'll see if Fire fox has a FAQ section or something.
