I have almost given up PLEASE HEP :)

I thought i would dabble in linux because I here nothing but good things about it. Well I have an AMD 64 so I downloaded the Mandrake 10 RC1. Mangaed to get it installed and working, what I needed to do next is intstall ATI drives and fix the refresh rate.

I'm having loads of trouble getting the ati drives installed and as matter of fact, I don't even know which drived i should install. I tried to run the check.sh file to see which one i should install but I can't get the proper output.

Could you folks help me out with the below

1. Run check.sh

2. Install the ATI drivers

3. Fix my refresh rate

Complete NOOB here to so bare with me THANKS

It will be better if you install the mandrake 10 officil not the RC1. Here you can find the ISOs http://www.mandrakelinux.com/en-us/ftp.php3#iso

I can't find the 64Bit Version for the AMD proc's on that page. Am I missing something?
I have a A64 3200+, should I not be using the 64bit version?

TIA
