I got "/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lXaw" error!!

Hi there,

I am trying to install a code on my Ubuntu 10.04. First I configured the code by typing:

hassan@ubuntu:~/xgremlin-4.4$ ./Configure

Then I typed (as recommended):

hassan@ubuntu:~/xgremlin-4.4$ make linux-i386

But after compiling several lines I got the following error:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lXaw
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

I uploaded the code on the following ftp address in case anyone wants to reproduce the error:

ftp://ftp.ing.iac.es/hassan

I appreciate any help on this.

With best regards,
Hassan

Did you do a web search for the message before you posted.

The same question has been asked and resolved here at LQ among other places:
