Old programs (especially abandonware) are more likely to work in Wine than newer ones, so in that case Screenplay might work, especially in a newer version of Wine.

EDIT: Apparently, I had to install Wine in Linux Mint, but, luckily, it's in the repository.

Gary - definitely will continue. I just meant that I want to read all the things that have been suggested, and the links containted therein before pushing on. I don't sing much either. Something to do with DOE and noise pollution...

arasai - thanks. I'll be looking for it starting tomorrow.

Kenny - thanks to the things mentioned in this thread, I found Wine, checked, and Screenwriter 2000 got a gold rating. I love this site!
