I can Start my Linux on Rescue Mode

Hi Everybody

I have a Suse Linux 10.1 and i want to reset my root's password, but i cant go to the Rescue mode and type single....

When i restart the server it boots automatically and i do not know what to press....

Please I will really apreciate your help.

Thanks

Do you have a "rescue CD" - there's generally no "F8" option like you may be familiar with on Windows.

If you don't have one handy, don't fret...

Is the server able to boot properly? It sounds like it isn't, but I may be misreading.

Hi Sonnik

Thank you for your answer. As you said, I am not familiar with Linux and also i have not got a rescue CD, does it always has to be done with a RESCUE CD????? Are there any other Option?

Best Regards.
