I can Start my Linux on Rescue Mode
Hi Everybody
I have a Suse Linux 10.1 and i want to reset my root's password, but i cant go to the Rescue mode and type single.... When i restart the server it boots automatically and i do not know what to press.... when it start shows this message: cnf: /boot/grub/menu.lst Please I will really apreciate your help. Thanks |
Do you have a "rescue CD" - there's generally no "F8" option like you may be familiar with on Windows.
If you don't have one handy, don't fret... http://www.novell.com/documentation/...l/ch12s05.html Is the server able to boot properly? It sounds like it isn't, but I may be misreading. |
Hi Sonnik
Thank you for your answer. As you said, I am not familiar with Linux and also i have not got a rescue CD, does it always has to be done with a RESCUE CD????? Are there any other Option? Best Regards. |
