If you want help, you need to provide detail.

Add the distro to your profile along with the version.

What type of card?
Is it wireless or wired?

what does
su
ifconfig

say?

What does
more /etc/resolv.conf
show you?
It will show you your router's ip address if you have one.

You could also try nmap

Could it be a router issue?
