I can't get my nforce2 to work with Debian

I'm sorry, it's probably been said eight million times before, but I just can't get my nforce2 to work with Debian. I can't get the tarballs from nvidia to work, I can't get forcedeth to work either. I follow the instructions but I'm always missing something or doing something incorrectly. Is there anyone who could walk me through an installation, like right after a fresh Debian install? It'd be greatly appreciated.
