I can't get access to the internet (AMD64 Athlon)

Not so long ago, I bought this wonderfull machine, an AMD64 Athlon (with all fancy peripherals and stuff). Wanting to make it even more wonderfull, I decided to install SuSE Linux 9.1.

My main problem now is that I can't get a connection to the internet.
When consulting Yast/Network Devices, the Network cards configuration tab states : Already configured devices: Asustek Ethernet Controller - configured with DHCP.

Yet, taking a look at the start-up log I see the following :
...
Setting up network interfaces
IO
IO IP address: 127.0.0.1/8
done eth0 device: Galileo Technology Ltd: Unknown device 4320 (rev13)
eth0 configuration : eth-id-00:0e:a6:90:f7:a0
eth0 (DHCP) ... no IP address yet ... backgrounding
waiting
...
eth0 interface could not be set up
failed
Setting up service network ... failed
exit status of (network) is (7)
...

I'm quite puzzled at what I should do next to make the connection work.

Can anybody help me on this one ?

Thanks a million !

try 'dhclient eth0' to get an ip address or
type 'man ifconfig' to get a list of commands and explanations for setting up your network manually.
