Not Terminal, but a shell-out to Command Line Interface:
PHP Code:
Ctrl-Alt-F2
(F1-F6 will work)
Then get back to the GUI with:
PHP Code:
Ctrl-Alt-F7

Why are you using such a dated version of Fedora?

It is EOLd and no longer supported. Try switching to a newer version (Fedora 13 was released a couple of days ago).

Fedora 8 is long outdated. If you want to stick with Fedora, get Fedora 13, it was just released yesterday.

And see the tutorial links in my sig to learn to use the command line.

If running KDE, right-click on the desktop, and select 'Run Command'. Enter 'konsole' or 'xterm' to launch a text terminal.
