i am not able to open docx file in gedit in debian.what should i do?
 
i have my dataset in docx format.when i login debian and try to open it in gedit,its not opening.the model is not responding to my dataset.so i just wanted to know how to open a docx file in gedit.

Is installing LibreOffice an option? (That's what I would do to view/edit your DOCX file.)

Welcome to LinuxQuestions.

gedit is an ASCII text editor like wordpad or notepad and not a word processor. It can not open word documents and as stated you need LibreOffice.
