I'm looking for some GUI apps..

- to configure laptop events (lid, button, etc)
- daemon tool (like in FC)
- automount tool like in mandrake (ex. when I connect usb camera)
- any tool for configuring XFree and other PC devices if possible (like SaX in Suse)
- also, any good GUI software for complex laptop configuring

currently I'm using debian sarge, and want to make it just more friendly

thanks

Ummm,...

Why don't you just use a distro like SuSE 9.2????

It's supposed to be tops when it comes to laptop support now,... although some feel it's not as stable as 9.1.

I already tried suse, mandrake, etc. I don't like them. They are too big and too slow. With a lot of thing I don't need.

these are the knida of things that make the distro what it is... suse, mandrake etc... are not big or slow if you do not run big and / or slow applications / servers on them.
