I've installed OpenLDAP and cannot find the slapd.conf file.
 

I've installed OpenLDAP and cannot find the slapd.conf file. I have found a file called ldap.conf. There are multiple references to the slapd.conf file for configuration of OpenLDAP, but none to the ldap.conf. Does anyone know if I'm supposed to create the slapd.conf? Second part...I have no idea how to configure the slapd.conf (even if I were to have found it). It seems as though once LDAP has been connected to the server/software that it's supposed to keep records for, then the DB would auto-populate with the data it needs. I'm trying to connect my ldap server to Liferay. Is that NOT the case? As you can see I need some help and quick. I would greatly appreciate some good direction. Thanks.

It's always helpful for other folks if they know the answers to some of the questions like:
What platform are you on?
What version of the program (1.x, 2.x, etc.). are you running?
What was your install command (using a package manager like yum, or did you install from source)?

I see you have windows 7 in your icons, but you may not be asking about that.
