I'm having a problem with SSH

I have a computer at house A that is running Fedora 8. The firewall settings have port 22 ssh open. This computer internal ip address is 192.168.1.105. This computer is also behind a router. I went into the router's config and made sure that from port 22 to port 22 was gonna be open and forwarded to 192.168.1.105. Now I have another computer running from house B. I have Fedora 8 on this computer as well and this computer is behind a router. To make it clear, the computer in house B is at a room in a best western. On this computer, I open terminal, log in as root, and type:
ssh user@<external ip address to house A's router>
but nothing happens, it just stays blank. I tried pinging house A's external router address but nothing happens either. I can ping other sites just not that one. What's the matter here?

you may check the open ports, and do some quicky checking:
Code:
ping -c 2 192.168.1.105
nmap 192.168.1.105
/etc/init.d/ssh restart
less /etc/ssh/sshd_config # please check it carefully
ssh 192.168.1.105 -l username # please avoid root ;)

I've been looking at sshd_config. You think these lines are the problem?
Should I uncomment them? Could you also explain what these lines do exactly?

#AllowTCPForwarding yes
#GatewayPorts no
X11Forwarding yes
#UseLogin no

also, isn't it /etc/init.d/service sshd restart ?

Yeah, it is. I'm guessing all that I really need to do is edit the sshd_config and enable
AllowTCPForwarding yes
