i'm being ask for proxy login passsword
 
i'm kind of new with my linux and when i installed i didnt put any "proxy login password". but after i restart it asks me for a password. hope someone could help me out.

Could you be a little more specific?
  • What distribution did you install?
[*]What happens before you get asked for a password?[*]Are you asked for a password when you boot from CD or from hard drive? (or both?)[/LIST]
Those would be a good start.

suse linux
 
yah im using suse linux. i've been ask for the password when i'm opening or starting my pc. but i didnt installed any login proxy password when i installed the software: engy:. thanks for the reply:

Ok, hate to say it but the only question you answered was the first one. Let's try this from another approach.

Try booting from the install CD again. You don't need to go all the way through it, just far enough to connect to the internet (if Suse installs from a liveCD, even better; then you can try browsing). See if it asks you for a password then. If it doesn't, then we narrowed the problem to the installation on your computer.
