huawei E153 on centos
Hi.....
I am new to linux just installed Centos5.5 and i want to install huawei E153 HSDPA on centos how do i do this ? Nipul |

Open a terminal and use the command "lsusb", find the ID number listing for the modem, and use the Internet to tell you how the modem is supported in linux. These devices are seen as a CD-ROM and with Windows they load a piece of built-in software to tell the system what to do thereafter. There is a linux conversion program, USB_ModeSwitch that should support this modem. It might be included in CentOS, but you should have the best results if you were to compile the latest version of USB_ModeSwitch yourself.
