htmlview ??

I usually browse internet in my office through Firefox providing Our Corporate Domain username and password created for me.Now, When I tried opening through:
Code:
htmlview http://google.com
it says " Making Connection..." and displays nothing for 5 minutes.
How Can I configure it so that I can run internet on my Linux Ubuntu 9.04 BOx.

Why not open firefox or other browser and type google.com in the address bar? Isn't htmlview for local pages like help files etc?

Maybe you have to use a proxy in your office?
