Try downloading a live CD from Ubuntu, burn the .iso and boot it. You'll get the Ubuntu environment running totally in memory so your original OS won't be touched if it doesn't work. Ubuntu will advise if it finds a proprietary ATI driver (which will probably be better than the generic driver) and let you download and install it though I didn't have a great deal of luck with my NVIDEA one in the live environment as it wanted to re-boot the system to enable it!! That's probably where you'd have to make up your mind if you wanted to install the distro. There are other live distros available to check out as well.

Play bonny!

You should learn that "txt spk" is not appreciated here on the LQ forums.

If you cannot be bothered to spell out your words, capitalise, or punctuate, you'll find most people here will ignore you. This will not help you solve your problems faster.

"ma laptop" - this isn't a typo because the "a" and "y" keys are far apart. It just makes us think that you think you are "a cool dude" (or whatever).

Please at least, present yourself as sentient, sensible, and reasonably educated person who has used the internet to search for a resolution to your problem [What is your problem, exactly? It is not at all clear. ] Then you'll probably get all the help you need.

That said, Welcome to LQ
