Howto open files w/ double-click, not one? in Konqueror

I'm pulling my hair out looking for at least an hour through all the konqueror and KDE configs...

All I want to do is make it so I can click a file in Konqueror file manager and not have it open the file into whatever associated software. I don't want the cursor to become a pointing hand and open files with one-click !!! This software is SOOO good... except for that.

Is there a way?

Dale

in a KDE environment single click is the default mode ...
so i dont' think its a matter of how to shut it off in konqueror, as
i think you have to go to KDE menu, Configuration, KDE, Peripherals, Mouse
and then shut it off in there ...
or something similiar anyways, i dont' use KDE but it is somethign like that

I think if you set your KDE theme to Bluecurve, it will take a double-click instead of a single-click to open files.

I just upgraded to 3.2 and, when I restarted, it asked what I wanted for a theme. Bluecurve was the theme that used a double-click to open things. The default KDE theme used a single-click.

Hope this helps.

Right-click the bar at the top of all windows, there is a configure option there, and from there you can configure the window manager to use double-click. If that doesn't work, run kpersonalizer and choose the desired mouse setting.
k-button -> Run Command -> type 'kpersonalizer'
