howto get xclock installed

I'm having some trouble getting xclock installed on RH linux (RedHat 4.1.2):

not sure how this could be I thought xclock was a very common package? Is there a way to update the repository locations to point to more recent/updated database?

Quote:
[02:43:22][root@host:/home]# yum search xclock

traditionally, xclock is provided in a larger X rpm package. For example, in the current version of RedHat, xclock is in xorg-x11-tools-...rpm.

Are you really trying to use RedHat 4? If so you are going to have a lot of trouble finding software for it.

RedHat "4.1.2" is RH EL 5, where gcc-4.1.2 is the default compiler.

# yum provides */xclock

# yum install xorg-x11-apps

Wow, thanks. That's the first time I've ever seen RH 5 referred to as RH 4! Is this an EU thing?
