howto do ip reservation via command

i want to reserve an IP with a particular MAC via command. I dont want to write it in dhcpd.conf script. Is it possible?

Static IP on the Client that is outside the scope on the DHCP server..

or DHCP reservation on the server, are the only two options I am aware of.

Give that system a static IP that you would want to reserve instead of getting it from a dhcp server.

OOps!!!!!!! Seems me and farslayer submitted the answer at the same time.
