howto disable eth0 at boot time
Hi,
I have a 10/100 broadcom chip on my motherboard, that i can't disable in bios or onboard with jumper. Linux picked it up during install and now during boot it takes a very long time to initialize it cuz i dont have it plugged into anything. I use my wireless card for networking, btw it works great and i am happy with it. How do i tell linux to not start eth0 at boot time? thanks Mandrake 9.1 -Ry :newbie: |
Edit:
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 and change ONBOOT=yes to ONBOOT=no (or add it if it doesn't exist) |
Thanks
Thanks david_ross, i appreciate your help.
