howto adjust user screen resolution
My redhat 8.0 PC is shared between two people. Each of us would like to use different screen resolution. How can I setup personal profile for different screen resoltion when login?
Thanks, Wilson |
The users can press Ctrl Alt + or - to change the resolution of their current desktop.

But that sucks, what about setting this up to "automagically" happen when another user logs in?
Instead of everytime user1 logs in having to press CTRL ALT + is there a way to have that automatically set (maybe in a script calling 2 different XF86Config's that are VERY much alike with the 1 entry changed for default res: 1024x768 And 800x600)? That would be nice. That's why I didn't want to reply, because I was hoping for something more :) Cool |
Are you using KDE patpat? If you are, I think that you can change user settings via control center (Control Center - Desktop).
edit: Control Center - Desktop - Size & Orientation ...make sure you select Apply settings. |
