can they not run it already? a standard user always has rights to use X by default, if they can't then there's presumably somethign a bit wonky on your system

NO..they cant. They get to the KDE screen, then it starts to load then freezes. When I kill X, i see a message about Xscreensaver or something not letting them login. I will try to find info on "Xscreensaver".
