Unhappy How to work with external usb cdroms in linux?

Hi,

I need to use an external usb dvd drive. Could you help me with the steps to mount it?
I did an lsusb and the device seems to be recognized.
..
..
Bus 004 Device 003: ID 054c:031f
..
..

How do i mount this? Normally for cds i use the command mount /dev/hda -t iso9660 /mnt/cdrom

Since this is a usb device, i cant seem to get the same working.

I would really appreciate some help at this point.

Thank you,
Abhishek

I just restarted the machine, and booted from the DVD(accidentally, i should say-- my first boot device was usb-CD, back from a couple of days back, where I installed the OS!!).. seems to be reading well for now. This is great, but really, I fail to understand it!
