how to view installed programs?


is there a GUI or command that will show what is installed on the system?? similiar to the add/remove feature in windows?

It differs from distro to distro. I think the 'kpackage' program which come with kde may work.

using redhat 9.1, gnome, but trying to figure out how to swtich to use KDE.

You don't need to switch to kde to run kpackage. Open an xterm window, type 'kpackage&', & you're on your way.

ok thanks alot for that, now how do i switch to KDE? i installed both of them during my installation of red hat.

easiest way?

logout
click session select KDE
login
