how to view a html file with pictures from within a zip archive?

Hi all,
the actual problem is this one:
If I save a website with mozilla there is often this result:

thewebsite.html
thewebsite_files (directory with pictures etc belonging to thewebsite.html)

sometimes I zip these two objects to obtain one single file. Now I want to view the _complete_ website offline again. The problem, however, is that ark or fileroller let me browse the file but if I open thewebsite.html from within the archive the pictures from thewebsite_files are missing (naturally ...). I think I saw Knoppix 3.3 doing this without missing pictures. How can I convince ark (or fileroller) to do this as well? Is my archiving software / KDE simply too old? I didn't find something useful in "options" of these programs.

Environment: Mandrake 9.0 with the KDE 3.0, ark, fileroller that came with it (cannot tell the versions because I am not sitting in front of my box right now)

Any ideas?

BM
