How to use Putty(plink command line) to using application keypad settings to VT400?
 

Hi all, i have installed putty on my linux box, if i am in GUI i can opne putty(GUI) to choice the "Keyboard-->The Function keys and keypad" for using VT400, if i am using the command line(not in GUI) what command should i need to use, the command putty is for GUI, the plink is for command line(CLI) right? so i try to use command plink to connect is ok, but cannot using the VT400(Function keys and keypad) the command for using VT400 is what?? Or any similar software but must can use VT400. Thank you very much.

What terminal emulation does putty support? I looked on a couple of web sites -- including http://www.unixwiz.net/techtips/putty-openssh.html -- and could not find reference for setting emulation type.

On putty's org page, it says it is for Windows, not Linux, so I am not quite sure who maintains the Linux version putty or if putty's .org page is incorrrect, http://www.putty.org/.

My primary desktop is Kubuntu. I needed an emulator that would allow multiple Unix/Linux host emulation, including specialized mapping of keys. The only product, open source or not, that I could find was PowerTerm Interconnect for Linux from Ericom software, www.ericom.com. It appears PowerTerm Interconnect for Linux supports VT400 emulation.

I like open source, and try to use only open source products. Sometimes, you have to go with paid-for products.
