when you bought redhat you bought their support . call them .

5.2 is a bit n the old side so it might be "fun" finding rpms on the net
have you looked in the RHN repo that the license you bought ( and kept up ) years ago
Code:

yum search ???
also have you looked on the red hat web site ?
http://www.redhat.com/support/

you might need to enter your username and password when you bought the license

but the normal mount is NOT working ???

do other cd's mount ?
is this a cd only drive ? or a cd/dvd rw combo drive ?

".dat " files ?? might be in a MS only format
