How to upgrade kernel FC3 to 2.6.11

I have FC3 with kernel version 2.6.9-1.667
I want to upgrade it to 2.6.11 so I can get k3b to run properly without having to go into root.
Could someone please give me a link to a how-to.

TIA
Mark

Haven't used fedora a lot but I think you can either do:
yum update kernel (this is the easy way, but not always the best)

or download
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...4_FC3.i686.rpm
do rpm -ihv kernel-....
to install and create a menu in /boot/grub/grub.conf, containing the new kernel to boot with

just download and upgrade kernel.rpm with command:
rpm -uvh *.rpm will get the kernel be updated to new version
rpm -ivh *.rpm will put a new version into your system and edit grub.conf for changes.

The update command is
Code:
rpm -Uhv kernel*.rpm
I would recommand a kernel update with "yum", this one will install the new kernel parallel to the old kernel. If you go for the update method with "rpm -Uhv kernel*.rpm" you have to boot directly after the update because modules of the old kernel are being removed.

Good luck!
