How to update all the softwares in a single command?

Is there a command in linux which when used I can update all the softwares that I have installed on a fedora16 machine?I am connected to the net and I want to all the installed softwares to fetch the latest version. Is there a way?

In addition to what colucix has said; i'd like to add that this command is most likely what you desire, but it will only fetch the latest versions available in the repositories you have enabled. (the following info is based off info from Distrowatch)
for example, if you have kde installed, and you update all your software; Fedora only has kde 4.7.97 available in it's repositories, so kde will be updated to that version. The latest stable release of kde by the kde developers though is 4.8.2.
If you so desire to have a more up to date version, you can either mix repos (not recomended), swap distros, compile it from source, or simply wait until Fedora allow it in there repository. They may have a good reason for not allowing it yet.

Kinghron,
1.)How do I check what repositories I have enabled.
2.)How do I know what verison of particular software Fedora has with it?
3.)How can have mix repositories?

Asking them questions suggest that you are probably not ready to mix repos. It requires close administering as it can create breakage if you do it wrong.
You can find out what version of any software you have installed with.
Code:

--version
as an example, if i wanted to find the version of kde i have installed i would do as follow.
Code:

plasma-desktop --version
Plasma desktop is the main core of kde. The output on my computer is as follow and someone elses would be similar (as long as they have kde4 installed of course)
Code:

Qt: 4.7.4
KDE Development Platform: 4.7.2 (4.7.2) "release 5"
Plasma Desktop Shell: 0.4

This is on my Opensuse partition (despite what my logo says) and the version i've installed atm is 4.7.2
As for what repos you've enabled.. I have actually never used Fedora and am just beginning on CentOS and am still yet to teach my self how to manage repositories on a rhel-like os, so someone else is going to have to clear that up for you.

Good luck.
