Question how to unzip files postes on usenet with this: Generated by WIN-SFV32 v1.1a

hello,
i downloaded files generated with Generated by WIN-SFV32 v1.1a (YENC-POWER-POST-A&A-v11b-FR).
but ark and gzip tell me "unsupported file format".
is there a linux tool to unzip that kind of file?

Dear Numero,

Please can you go to the command prompt and go into the directory of the file and post the output of:-

ls <name of file> | cut -d. -f2-

and

file <name of file> | cut -d: -f2-

This will tell us both the extension of the file and the type of the file, from this we can advise further.

Many thanks,
Luke.

i achieved the work with konqueror by double clicking on the file, then choosing "deflate with ark"

thanks for your help.
