how to uninstall GNOME and install KDE

Hi,

I have Mandrake 10 Official download version and GNOME installed. I would like to uninstall GNOME and install KDE. How would i do that? Thanks.

Both GNOME and KDE should come installed in Mandrake 10 so you don't need to install KDE. If you are using Mandrake's graphical login prompt you should simply be able to select which desktop you want to use by choosing it in the list provided. If you use 'startx' to get into X, edit the .xinitrc file in your home directory to launch the desktop you want. If you need help, let me know!

Just leave Gnome on there and install KDE using the add/remove software option in the control panel thing whatever it iscalled in mandrake. Any Gnome apps you use probably won't work without Gnome at least installed on the system, even if you don't use it.
