Unhappy How to uninstall

I decided to try Linux, downloaded cinnamon mint and installed it [as dual boot with win10]. Everything seemed to go well, except I couldn't access my files from the hard drive. I tried various things to uninstall but nothing worked, so I kept reinstalling so I could boot. I need to either find out how to access my files from Linux, or uninstall it as it is next to worthless, maybe install another version of Linux if it is less likely to have the hard drive conflict.

So, GNU\Linux works but not m$ and you can not find files from it in Mint or neither OS works?

I like Debian (cut out the middle*people) specifically Sid eg https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...ml#post5664011

(edit\add: one method) to uninstall hope you have a factory rest (OR BACKUPS,) look up factory rest with your computer's name and model number... may wipe everything!?

Edit\add again: I would backup your personal data before trying anything, a live distro &c can help there...

Linux works but cannot access the files, Win 10 works [as well as can be expected.]

When you say "access the files" do you mean microcoughed-losedough$ files from Linux; you will need to mount that partition... Mint likely does it by default but perhaps not in wm\Cinnamon?

In addition, you have to disable fast startup mode to be able to mount a Windows 10 NTFS partition when using mint. The normal shutdown mode actually hibernates the drive.

as above Win10 dose NOT shut down or turn off, it instead "hibernates".

and dose not really inform you as to that fact

disable MicroBleeps "fast boot" in win 10
