How to Track the compile errors of any IDE?

Dear Friends,

Is there any way to capture the compile errors of any IDE...

This is because I want to store the compile errors for later analysis..
I could do this in the command line by wrapping the compilers..But I don't know how to do it for IDEs.
Any guidance in this regard is highly appreciated..

Thanks.
Sundaram

Which IDE and which compiler? You should be able write a wrapper script around the compiler that uses 'tee' to send the compiler output to a file and to the console, then configure the IDE to use your wrapper instead of the compiler directly. See the man page for tee.
