How to take entire system backup.


HI All,

Is there any way to take entire OS backup for rhel.

Yes. And this question has been asked (and answered), many, MANY times on here already. Did you try to search here for a solution first??

And "entire OS backup" is vague. Do you mean you want a re-installable, bare-metal recovery image? Just all the data files? What kind of versioning, if any? What medium are you backing up to? How often? Mondoarchive, systemimager, and mkcdrec are three possibilities. There is also cpio, tar, dd, and lots of other commands, along with real backup programs like bacula.

And AGAIN, since you are using RHEL, you can CALL RED HAT SUPPORT and ask what their recommended solutions are. You seem to ignore this each time someone tells you. Again, if you're not PAYING for RHEL, you need to stop using it, and load CentOS instead.
