How to tag another user in a post?

Excuse me if this doesn't go here, I couldn't find a "meta" board. How do I tag a user in a post?

Thanks, but that's not exactly what I'm looking for. In other forums/places online, if I wanted to reply to someone specifically, and also just notify them that they've been replied to, I would write something like:

@ardvark71 Thanks for replying!

It usually hyperlinks the username, as well as gives that user a notification that they've been tagged. Maybe this site doesn't have that feature. I was just wondering.

Once you reply to a post that thread is automatically added to your "subscribed threads" which is accessed from the toolbar on the right "My LQ" section. Also I get daily email notifications to advise on the state of threads to which I am subscribed and have been updated.

Not exactly what you want but this may serve the same purpose?
