how to switch back to kernel 2.4?

Im having problems trying to get to the install screen on mandrake 10...im guessing its a conflict with 2.6 ...so I pressed F1 and there,s a help menu that basically gives you commands to type. (alternate boot methods.)

I wanted to know whats the command to load the 2.4 kernel to the installer rather the default 2.6 kernel?

thanks

I don't think the kernel is the problem. Mandrake 10 is released with 2.6.2 so there should not be any problem within the distro. I suspect that either you have a bad download (check the md5sum) or you have hardware that is not supported (check http://www.mandrakelinux.com/en/hardware.php3).

Hope it helps...
