how to stop ping response/count


i've just ran ping ip-of-my-other-pc and it returns a count of 400+ now.. realising now that ping -c should have been applied to specify the number of returns, how can i stop this pinging process without me closing the command window?

Hi Manuleka,
For giving the right solution i request you to please give me some more information.
1)Which OS you are using?
2)You are taking about which command window.

well do this it will close your ping.

press the button ctrl + c

If it not works then pls give us the complete information which i asked above.
