how to start openbox session with Numlock ON?

I added things to my .xinitrc for openbox to start: Ok. that works.

But I wanna active the numlock ON ?
gkrellm-leds - Keyboard LED monitor for GKrellM
numlockx - enable NumLock in X11 sessions
shermans-aquarium - Sherman's aquarium applet for GNOME 2
tleds - blinks keyboard LEDs for TX and RX network packets
Is the numlockx the only only only solution? I just wanna it to be without this package, like purist or pro would do ... ?

thanks for the newbie easy trick!

check out here

There is a few options here (including the numlockx method you mentioned), but i think "2.4. COMPILING A LITTLE PROGRAM YOURSELF" is probably more of what you are after

good luck

EDIT. Just having a quick look at the compile command listed in the article above:
gcc -I/usr/X11R6/include -L/usr/X11R6/lib -o xsetnumlock \
	 	xsetnumlock.c -lX11 -lXtst
I think you will need to change /usr/X11R6 to /usr/X11
...correct me if i'm wrong anyone
