How to solve this Error message


Launching '/usr/sbin/dkms install -m snapapi26 -v 0.6.7 2>&1'

Error! Could not locate snapapi26.ko for module snapapi26 in the DKMS tree.
You must run a dkms build for kernel 2.6.20-16-generic (i686) first.
glibc version is: 2.5

Installing package dkms-2.0.4
Cannot read rpm config file /tmp/rpmrc: (no error)

What distro are you using?

What are you trying to accomplish?

What was the command that you typed?

From the information that you've provided, it looks like:
"You must run a dkms build for kernel 2.6.20-16-generic (i686) first."

I am trying to install a trial copy of Trueimage for linux I used ./ to run the program at the end of the installation it says something about compiling the installation fails and I should look I should look in /Var/log and /Var/lib where this error message was.
If you think I must run a dkms build for kernel 2.6.20-16-generic (i686) first how to do it.
