How to shutdown Red Hat 9.0 completely?

I am a Red hat 9.0 new comer.

How can I shut down Red Hat 9.0 completely via command line or shutdown menu.

I have Windows 2000 installed in this machine as well. When I shut down the W2K, it turns my computer off completely.

When I shut down with Red Hat 9.0, my computer switch light still on. I have to turn it off manually. Any ideas?

Thank you.

some old style motherboard doesn't support software poweroff your machine. so you should check this yourself.

anyway, i would use command line and type "poweroff"

I fixed it.

Thank you both. I checked the Bios and set the Power Management option to enable and now it is completely shut down.

Cheers!
