Ubuntu 11.04 uses the Unity desktop, which is totally different from the classic Gnome desktop that is in the link that Zmyrgel gave you. However, the same functionality should be available somewhere in Unity. I do not know where it is on Unity since I have bailed on the increasingly bloated Ubuntu and am now using the light and fast Lubuntu with LXDE.
If you can not find the network settings GUI from Unity on 11.04, there is an option to load ubuntu-classic
when you first boot the computer. If you choose ubuntu-classic, it should look similar to the link that Zmyrgel posted.
