How to set up Linksys WUSB11 and wireless NW on FEDORA CORE 1
I recently installed Fedora Core 1 on my Pentium 4 machine without much problem, upgrading from Redhat 8. I have tried to research how to set up a Linksys WUSB11 v2.6 adapter to talk to my wireless Linksys router/access point, but all of what I have found seems to be for other Linux versions adn have not helped me much. I believe that the hardware is installed and drivers loaded, but I can't get the network part set up.
A lot of what I have read is also obscure, using terms I am not familiar with, etc. I am very familiar with Windows but not Linux. I would really appreciate it if someone could give me some step-by-step help that a noob can deal with. Please also be aware that I am using WEP 64-bit on the access point. Thanks. |
I believe that my driver is loading ok, it's the network part that won't seem to work. If I try using the Fedora network Wizard or other network tool, it has a drop-down list of adapters there - and mine is not listed, so I can not set it up that way. Any help would be appreciated.
