Hi,

can anyone help on on how to setup a yum repository on a local system.

or to put in other words,

I would not like to use any mirror sites as my repository, but want to make a local folder as my repository from which yum should do the updates....

Here's a link to an informative yum faq at Duke university:

http://wiki.linux.duke.edu/YumFaq

As they mention in the faq, it sounds like you want to create a local mirror, not necessarily a repository.

Hope this helps.
