How to set screen resolution in KDE past allowed ones?

Hi!

KDE gives me screen resolution choices up until 1024 x 768, while I could really use 1280 x 1024... is there a text file I can tweak that would allow me such a resolution? I cant find it... help?

thanks,
Victor

yes, there's a howto for XFree86 tweaking right here. However notice that this kind of tweaking may damage your monitor...
