How to set default browser in RHEL and install plugins (for firefox) ?

Hi folks,

First of all, when i click WebBrowser shortcut, browser does not launch. It shows something on taskbar then it disappears. I downloaded firefox rpms and installed. I can run firefox by entering "firefox" on terminal when i navigate its folder.

However i can not install flashplugin and when i run firefox it shows me a message like "Set default browser as Firefox?" . I think problem occurs because of this.

1) Am i right?
2) If yes, how to set the installed one as default browser or how to fix the old (default) one?
3) Does it install flash plugin on default browser (i mean not the one i downloaded )

Thanks.
